VoIP Overview

What is VoIP

VoIP (Voice over IP, also called IP Telephony) is voice communications transmitted over the Internet or any other IP-based network (eg. your office network) instead of traditional dedicated circuit-switched voice lines (PSTN)

That means your voice will be digitized and transmitted over the same network via which your data (emails, images etc) are transferred. This voice and data convergence provides a platform for computer telephony integration (CTI) applications

VoIP is not only the future, it's the present as well. Internet telephony offers myriad benefits for large enterprises, it's for small and medium sized business, even individuals as well
